WHAT WILL THIS ROLE INVOLVE?

As a Designate Manager covering Ryman Design Stores across London, you will take responsibility for leading and supporting multiple store teams across the region. You'll be focused on driving performance, growth, and profitability while ensuring consistency in operational excellence and customer experience across all locations.

You'll oversee key financial KPIs such as turnover, wages, wastage, and shrinkage, ensuring each store operates efficiently and profitably. Alongside the financials, you'll maintain high standards in customer service, compliance, internal audits, and brand presentation - ensuring every store reflects the Ryman Design brand values.

This role requires strong leadership, adaptability, and a proactive approach to developing teams and delivering results across diverse store environments.

 

WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?

  • Be passionate about design-led stationery, reflect that by loving the brand and products and transferring that passion to the customer.
  • Be a leader to inspire your team to be creative, drive sales and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Be a coach, a mentor, and develop your team to influence future succession.
  • Drive effective change in store and be an ambassador for our New Concept Stores.
  • Ensure the store team understands all sales and KPI targets and are supported to exceed them.
  • Motivate your management team to deliver and exceed store KPIs.
  • Manage and minimise all controllable costs efficiently and within planned budgets.
  • Build strong relationships with store peers and the Retail Support Centre.
  • Recruit, develop and retain high calibre colleagues that reflect the business's values and behaviours.
